The Students’ Union is made up of students that work to ensure the learners from Leeds City College, Leeds Sixth Form College, Keighley College, Harrogate College, and University Centre Leeds are represented, supported, and have the best possible experience during their studies. They will do this by...
- Being Visible & Engaging - The SU President and Campus Officers will be present on campuses, expecially during lunchtimes, engaging learners in student voice and making them aware of the opportunities available to them.
- Representing the students at all levels - The SU Officers ensure learners voices and views are heard & considered when decisions are being made that impact learners by senior leaders. The officers sit in on board meetings, making up interview panels for senior and leadership roles, supporting campus and national campaigns and events, and being part of numerous strategy / steering groups.
- Organising trips & events - The team both organise & support trips and events on campus to help promote sense of community on campuses and provide opportunity for learners to make friends and socialise. Some trips they’ve previously organised include Alton Towers theme park, Jump Inc trampoline park, Arcade Club games arcade, Hollywood Bowl bowling alley and York Dungeons history attraction.
The SU is keen to work with students and staff to improve the college experience, and look forward to the year ahead.
