Members of College Parliament

Members of College Parliament (MCP’s) are student representatives we work with over the academic year to ensure the student experience is as best as it can be.

Each department will have MCP’s who will attend Campus Council and College Parliament where student voice feedback can be addressed.

MCPs then work together with staff to overcome any issues arising from the council and parliament meetings.

College Parliament

In December, our College Parliament met in Leeds Civic Hall again for the first time since the pandemic.

The Members of College Parliament (MCPs) assembled in the Council Chambers to discuss our student community’s main concerns with senior members of staff.

During the event the MCPs reported back on the results of Make Your Mark: an intiative which asks young people to vote the most important issue from a list of twelve.

This year’s consultation, held during UK Parliament Week in November, marked a milestone for our college in terms of participation, with more than 3,100 students casting their vote.

The ‘top three’ topics chosen by learners at each of our campuses then formed the agenda for December’s College Parliament. Check out the Make Your Mark Results by clicking here.
